P&N Publications is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the GDPR data protection law). We collect information about you to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service. We only send promotional email or mail to you with your prior consent and do not pass any of your information to third parties. You can opt-out of emails (which are sent only to those who have opted-in to receive product updates) by visiting your account.
Details we require
We need to collect the following information from you in order to process your order and notify you of the status of your order.
- Your Name
- Centre Name (if applicable, required for order of prelim papers)
- Centre Address
- SQA Centre Number (if applicable, required for order of prelim papers)
- Your school/college based email address (personal addresses will be rejected – you will be contacted to provide your work address and any order may be cancelled should this not be received within 96 hours)
- Direct Debit card details, via GoCardless, or PayPal (relevant 3rd party policies apply)
- bank details if choosing to pay using our GoCardless PayInvoiceNow online payment feature
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent, however additional information you may provide us with may be used to personalise your visits to our website.
You can check the information that we hold about you by logging into our web site and using the contact us form on our “Contact Us” page, or emailing email@example.com. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
Security of personal information
When you enter credit card information on the P&N Publications web site we use secure servers to ensure that all details are encrypted at your browser before they are sent to us. We store credit card details in an encrypted way within a secure database. The servers are physically secured in a dedicated data centre.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this from happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
